Potty Advice

Over my Winter Break we were able to get Katelyn potty trained. Yea!! She does fine with naps in underwear. My questions to all the mothers out there is for NIGHT TIME..... Did you keep your child in diapers for awhile at night, did you go straight to pull ups?, how often did you wake them to go potty in the night?, What worked for you?

Maybe it will be easier then I think, but I don't want to wake up every night changing wet sheets. Most mornings her diaper is dry and she asks to go potty first thing.

Too Big!!

Over Winter Break I had several things I wanted to accomplish. The first one was to get Katelyn potty trained. She had a few accidents but by the time I went back to work she was in underwear all day. I decided not to show her running around in her underwear.

The next thing we needed to do was cut the binki. Katelyn only uses it when she sleeps, but we felt it was time to say good bye. Every other night I would cut it a little bit and told her by end of the week she would only be holding it. We say that the binki is "broken". There were several nights of crying, but we survived.

The next thing we needed to do was get her in a toddler bed. We (okay Scott) put together the bed on Friday. She was so excited!!
This was Katelyn when I checked on her in the morning. She slept soundly through the night. Last night she was crying and I went to check on her. The poor thing had fallen out of the bed. The rail is nice, but she likes to move around a lot. She ended up on the other side of the bed. I put a pillow down in case she fell out again, but she stayed in bed the rest of the night.

More Pink in Our House

We are expecting another girl in May. Katelyn has already learned the word sister!!
We went to Matta's to celebrate!!

We went over to Great Grandma Strong's house for breakfast. Grandma and Grandpa Wilder gave Katelyn a Dora doll.

Strong Family Christmas

Grandma Wilder put together the nativity this year. Katelyn got to be an angel. (Glad Steve and Wes could come visit. Katelyn likes calling him "baby" Wes. He is getting too big.)
We did our traditional pinata. Katelyn knocked out two pieces of candy.
Katelyn has talked about Santa for weeks, but when we finally arrived she was not happy.
Katelyn loves the books Santa brought her. They are 5 small Dora books. She is still watching Satna pass out books. That why she is looking a little worried.
All the grand kids started singing Christmas songs, but she was more interested in reading.

Christmas Lights at the Train Park

Eric and Kristen had a great idea to go see the lights at the McCormick Train Park. We expected to see some people, but the line was an hour and a half long. We decided Katelyn would not be able to wait that long. We walked around to see the lights.

Katelyn LOVES The Cat in the Hat. Apparently he was too big for her and she didn't want to get too close. I was never a fan of big costume characters when I was little.
Katelyn insisted on riding the horse. Once again this led to tears. She liked sitting on the horse, but not moving around. We were not doing very well.
Then off in the back was a mini train and not a huge line. She LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the train. There were Christmas lights the whole way and she smiled the whole time.
