Splash Park

Katelyn and I headed to the Splash Park today with Betsy and Spencer. The babies had fun crawling around. I will wait to go back until she can walk. She got several blisters on her toes from crawling. I thought the padding was soft enough, but apparently not!!

Katelyn What Are You Doing?

Well, our sweet Katelyn has entered the "lets explore" everything phase. Now that she can pull up onto everything!! We seem to be keeping an eye on her more and more. Scott is installing child proof locks on all cupboards which will make me feel a whole lot better. I love that she is exploring. It just gets old having her pull everything off that she can reach!! I know it is only the beginning. Because it is 115 outside everyday we don't get much outside time. She did have a water day play group on Friday and is having a play date tomorrow at a splash park. That
should be fun!!

Katelyn crawled over the chair and into the toy box just so she could reach the movies.

Family Reunion

My mom's side of the family had a reunion last week. My grandma has 12 brother and sisters. So you can imagine a lot of people. The place we go to has cabins, outdoor game areas, a kitchen, and is secluded. The kids are able to run around and we know they are safe. The only thing missing was air conditioning!! My brother Kevin, sister in law Renee, and their two girls Trinity and Zoe flew into town. This was the first time for them to meet Katelyn. We had a relaxing weekend. I wish they lived closer.
Zoe was such a great helper with Katelyn. She always made sure Katelyn was okay, gave her plenty of hugs, and toys.

4th of July

We woke up early for a ward pancake breakfast. Yummm!! We relaxed around the house and had a bar-b-que that night. We didn't want to fight the crowds to see fireworks. It turned out we could see a lot of them standing in the backyard. A perfect day to remember our independence.

Going to Grandma and Grandpa Otto's House

Kristen, Katelyn and I headed to my parents house for a little while. I want Katelyn to be able to recognize her grandparents, so we had a few days free and packed our bags. She grew attached to them very quickly.
