Camping in the Back

Scott wanted to keep Katelyn entertained, so he set up the tent in the back. She can only play in the morning and evening because of the heat. She loves it!!

June Adventure

There is a little grin.
Lily is just relaxing
I was trying to clean up the kitchen, so I laid Lily in a pile of clothes and she was happy. I don't know if it was the softness of the clothes or the sound of the dishwasher.
I loaded all the groceries into the car. Put Katelyn in her carseat and was about to go to the other side to put Lily in when I see green and pink sticking out. Can you see it? Those would be bubble wands that I picked out of the reunion. Katelyn put them there and I didn't see them when we checkout. I loaded Katelyn back into the cart and went back inside to pay $2.18 for the bubbles. Creative place to put them, but I wish I saw them before we left the store. At least they are paid for now.

Phoenix Zoo June 23

My sister and I packed up the girls on Thursday morning and headed to the zoo. We wanted to get there when it opened, so it wouldn't be too hot. We walked around for a couple of hours and then the heat was unbearable. We all got in for free so the trip was worth it. Katelyn was old enough to enjoy the animals.
Lily is ready for the zoo. She has on her giraffe outfit!!

6th Anniversary

Scott and I are celebrating 6 years of marriage. I look back to see all that we have accomplished and I am lucky to have Scott in my life.

Carpet Bowling

The public library has several fun activities for kids to do during the summer. I took Katelyn to their carpet bowling activity and she loved it. I loved that it was free and indoors!!

Katelyn is in a dance class!!

Katelyn is taking a summer dance class. Scott's cousin teaches the class. It is 6 weeks long on Fridays. Katelyn was soooo excited to go to class and had a blast.

Anytime there is dancing on the TV she wants to get into her dance clothes. I didn't know how she would do in an actual class, but Katelyn had a fun time and did what she was suppose too.

Tongue Tied June 3rd

When we went to Lily's first pedatrition appointment the doctor mentioned Lily was tongue tied. Under her tongue skin was connected, so they would need to cut it. If we didn't she could not stick out her tongue all the way, she may not be able to eat as well and later on she could have speech problems. We decided lets fix the problem while she is small. Last Friday we went in to have the procedure done. Our normal pediatrician didn't do the procedure, so we had to go to a different doctors office. It was very fast. Lily only bleed for a few minutes and it was all over. Afterwards we decided to have some Katelyn time.

Katelyn has been a very good big sister with everything thing that has happened. Not having mom and dad home for 6 days and more doctors appointments then we expected. Plus, having a new little one in the home is an adjustment. She has been a great helper. We wanted to do something she would enjoy. We went to the duck park and out for ice cream.

When we were about to go into the ice cream store I noticed something on Lily's foot. We were worried it was a blood blister or a reaction from the tongue tied procedure earlier. Normally we would not over react, but Lily has has so many problems we decided to stop by the pediatrician to have them look at it. It was Friday afternoon and we didn't want something to be wrong over the weekend.

Our pediatrician looked at it and said he wasn't sure. He grabbed a alcohol wipe to see if it would shine and GUESS WHAT!! It wiped off!! WE were so embarrassed that it came off. At least nothing was wrong. We still don't know what it was.

Sleeping the Day Away

There is something about babies sleeping. I could watch them for hours. Lily has the cutest grins when she is alseep. She is only two weeks old, but I can't get enough pictures of her. She is so precious.


Last night Grandma was brushing Katelyn's teeth, so I put Lily in Katelyn's bed to surprise her. When Katelyn walked in she asked, "Where is Lily?" Then she looked over to her bed and started laughing. Lily reminds me of a Cabbage Patch doll.

Born to Be Friends

Jenny and I were pregnant for most of the school year together. It was fun having the girls meet for the first time. Maybe next time Lily will actually open her eyes. I know the girls will have fun playing together when they get a little bigger. Thanks Jenny and William for dinner. It was yummy!!
