September Moments

 Still recovering from all the Labor Day fun!!

Dinosaur Dig

I got this Dino kit from school last year at the bookfair.  We pulled the box down yesterday and showed Katelyn what was inside. She was so excited to see everything. Katelyn LOVES dinosaurs!! Scott put together a plastic dinosaur that glows. Then he pulled out an excavation block with fossils. Katelyn got to chip away and find dinosaur fossils. She looked so cute in her googles and concentrated really hard at her work.

My Actual Birthday!! September 16th

I had had the sniffles all weekend and was hoping it was only my allergies. I woke up today not feeling great. I made it through church and took a nap. Scott made me a delicious dinner. I love Chicken Parmesan! He also made me a homemade Kit Kat cake. I ended up going to bed early, but appreciated the yummy meal. He will just have to make it again for me when I feel better.

 The Kit Kat bar turned out nice. It was very rich and chocolatey. If you know me I have a sweet tooth and it was perfect. Even after a couple of days it was still crunchy.

Doesn't it look like it came from a restaurant!! I love you Scott!

P.S. The next day was the worst I felt. My nose and eyes were runny all day. When the kids slept I did too. Once Scott got home from work I stayed on the couch. By Wednesday I was feeling better.

Cheryse Turns 33!!

I had a lovely birthday weekend. My actual birthday is on Sunday, so I got to celebrate all weekend. On Friday we headed to Red Robin with Kristen and Eric. I was craving a yummy burger. Then Saturday Kristen and Eric were kind enough to watch the girls, so Scott and I could go to the movies.

 Lily loved the burger and couldn't stop drooling!!

Playing in Puddles

We woke up to rain, thunder and lightning. It was so dark outside I had to turn on lights. Normally I can open the blinds and get enough light in the room. After the lightning and thunder stopped we decided to go play in the rain. The rain stopped too, but they enjoyed playing in the puddles and the rushing stream by the curb.

 Lily was soaked by the time we were done. She loved sitting in the flowing water.

Desert Breeze Train Park- Sept. 3rd

 For Labor day we wanted to do something with the girls. We headed to the Desert Breeze train park  for a little while. It was their opening weekend, so the train ride was only $1.00 each. Everyone enjoyed the train ride and playing on the playground. The heat was bad, so we didn't stay very long.

Fall Dance Class

 We decide to try ballet and tap this year for dance. Katelyn loves to dance and I am glad she is able to try new styles.

More August Fun

 Katelyn has always been a helpful big sister. Here she is feeding Lily yogurt.

 I always let Katelyn lick the mash potatoes from the beaters. I look overand she is sharing with her sister. Very sweet!

 I went into check on my "sleeping" Lily bug and found her reading. She had pulled a book of the shelf and was entertaining herslef.
