New Light Rail

Kristen thought it would be fun to go on the new light rail last Saturday. The first week is free, so we went on the opening day. The light rail goes from Mesa, through Tempe and Phoenix. I knew there would be a line, but the people went on forever. We decided to drive to the next station and noticed the line wasn't as long. We waited for a while and realized that we would never make it on and back in time to be home by 3:00. We had plans for later that day. We didn't realize this adventure would take all day. Dad suggested that next time we were in town we could pay and ride the rails together. We thought that was a great idea. The train looked nice from the outside!!

Christmas Night

Christmas night we went over to Kristen's house for dinner and to play games. It was a fun day, but we were tired by the end.

Katelyn is a well behaved baby, but does have her moments. We were able to capture one of her tired times.

Christmas Morning

My parents came into town and Kristen stayed the night. We had a full house for Christmas morning. Katelyn let us sleep until 9:00AM and then was ready for the fun to begin. She loved eating the wrapping paper.

Strong Family Christmas

On Monday Dec. 22nd we went to Grandma and Grandpa Strong's house for a little party. Katelyn was able to be baby Jesus in the nativity. She did a great job and stayed very still. Later that night Santa stopped by to say hi and gave a treat to everyone. It was a nice night with family.

Yummm Cereal Dec. 5th

Katelyn tried watery cereal for the first time. Her face expressions were so cute. Most of the liquid ended up on her chin and clothes, but she didn't seem to mind the taste after a little while. January we will try some veggies.

I Love My Mommy!!

Scout Award Dec. 4th

I received a phone call letting me know that Scott was going to be receiving an award at a scout dinner that was coming up. They wanted to keep it a secret from him. Scott couldn't understand why I would want to go to this dinner. I told him we needed to be supportive of those receiving awards. It was fun to see his face when his name was called for the Boy Scout Leader Hall of Fame. Scott works hard and I am glad that he was able to be recognized.

Bunco Fun

My friend Juli decided to start a Bunco group. She called me to see if I wanted to be a part of the group. I thought why not I need to be more social. Our first bunco night was so much fun. It took me a little while to catch on with all the rules, but I finally got a hang of it.

Katelyn is 4 months old

Katelyn turned 4 months on Nov. 26th. She is now 14 lbs and 10 oz. She is 24 1/2 inches long. Her length puts her in the 90 percentile for her age. I tried her in 6 month pajamas and she fit perfectly. She loves giggling and laughing at things. I love when I can capture her smiles on camera.

Thanksgiving in Page

We headed to my grandma's house in Page. We decided to leave on Thanksgiving morning. It was a perfect drive. Barely anyone was on the road and it was overcast all day. Do you notice the empty plate in the picture? That would be mine!! Katelyn decided she was hungry right before we all sat down. So everyone enjoyed the food while I was in the other room feeding her. That is okay because she is worth the little sacrifices. It was a perfect weekend and I relaxed and didn't touch any of my school papers.
